Botox

Botox is a drug made from a toxin produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. For more than 20 years injection of botulinum toxin have been used in medicine and cosmetic procedures to treat certain muscular conditions and to remove wrinkles by relaxing the aged or hyperactive muscles of the face. Botox works by paralyzing the muscle and as such is good for lines created with motion of muscle.

Is it a secure method?
The use of this medicine has been approved  by FDA (US Food and Drug administration).

What are the advantages of Botox procedure in cosmetic area?
Botox is commonly used to treat dynamic lines and wrinkles. Botox procedure softens existing wrinlkes through relaxing the muscles and can prevent a new wrinkle caused by repetitive muscle movement from getting deeper.

Botox injections zones
Usually this procedure is taken at the outer corner of the eyes (for crow’s feet) and for temporary treatment of moderate to severe frown lines between the brows. Advanced injections of Botox  include treatment of neckline wrinkles, lowering of the eyebrows, treatment of the bunny lines on the nose, vertical lines on the lips, frown lines in the corners of the lips and for the non surgical nose job.
And for more than 10 years Botox has been used to correct sagging and weaking muscles of the chin. Located on both sides of the neck platysma muscle compresses the corners of the mouth and pulls the skin down. Neck muscles are constantly active in our daily lives. With the age corners of mouth gradually weaken and facial expression changes and therapy is required.
Over the time the condition and location of adipose tissue is under the force of gravity changes. Adipose tissue located on both sides of the jaw bone. There are two groups of muscles affecting the jaw line should be mentioned:

• Pulling downwards neck muscles
• Pulling upwards muscles stretching from zygoma to labial commissures.

When after Botox treatment the muscles stop moving up and down, they gain relatively stable position, making the neck and chin lines clear.

Botox treatment of excessive sweating
Sweating hands, feet and armpits can have dramatic affect on people's quality of life and results in a social embarrassment. The most effective way to stop excessive sweating is Botox. In case of  'Hyperhidrosis' that causes excessive sweating, some times Botoks can be the only one solution. Botox works by irreversibly binding to receptors that send nerve signals, and hence preventing sweating. The procedure takes about half an hour, but the effect after procedure lasts up to 8-12 months. Repeating of therapy is not required and depends on personal choice. Thus, with this treatment, the unpleasant odor or damaged image due to excessive sweating can be easily avoided.
