Laser Epilation

In our clinic are used such hair removal devices as Diode, Alexandrite, ND Yag and IPL. Procedure is processed in an appropriate dose on suitable equipment in accordance with the body area, skin type and color, hair structure.

Unwanted hair can be removed by means of exposure to pulses of laser light that destroy the hair follicle. Several wavelengths of laser energy have been used for hair removal, from visible light to near-infrared radiation. These lasers are characterized by their wavelength, measured in nanometers (nm)

Alexandrite (Near-Infrared, 755 nm) is safe and effective on all skin types.
It is considered the most efficient laser for use with all hair and skin types, as the laser does not affect darker skin types as much as other lasers. As with all other lasers, it is best with white and very light skin, and has proven most effective with the fine, thin hairs that many of the other types of laser cannot eliminate.

Nd:YAG (Near-Infrared,1064 nm) is made for treating darker skin types, though effective on all skin types.

Intense pulsed light epilator (IPL, 650nm) is not a laser, and it is used for hair removal in pale to medium skin types.
Hair grows in several phases and a laser can only affect the currently active growing hair follicles. Hence, several sessions are needed to kill hair in all phases of growth. The recommended number of treatments is usually between 6 and 8 for thinner hair, or 8 to12 for thicker, darker hair.
Hair reduction after 6 months is reported as 68.75% for alexandrite lasers, 71.71% for diode lasers, and 66.96% for IPL.
